Imagine a world where you are taking your dog for a walk and you don’t have to worry about having to hold a leash in one hand and then balance between whatever space is left in the hand holding the leash and your free hand all the bags, water bottle, cell phone, coffee, keys or whatever else you carry while walking your dog. That sounds wonderful doesn’t it? Almost too good to be true? Well what if I told you the rumors are true and your dog walking experience was about to get better?
Recently, I discovered BinginDog through a fellow blogger on Instagram. I saw her walking her golden retriever and messaged her immediately, “OMG that leash! Where did you get it?” I loved the fact that it was hands-free. I knew I had to check it out and get one for my dog, Checotah. No more wearing a fanny pack filled bags, keys and my phone! I wore that fanny pack proudly though!
Once my collar and leash arrived for Checotah, we tested it out by taking her for a walk on the trails of Percy Warner Park here in Nashville, TN. We were on dirt and gravel paths and even went through a few small creeks – couldn’t go through too much water, she’s a corgi so she has little legs.
The 6-foot leash gave her enough freedom to wander where she pleased yet could stay close enough to me. The neoprene loop that can connect to your wrist or upper arm (I liked to keep mine almost at my elbow) was very lightweight and comfortable to wear. Also, can I get an amen for no chaffing!? The velcro stayed put when she would pull just a little bit, giving me the comfort that if she were to take off then it wouldn’t rip off of my arm. The neoprene collar is also just as lightweight and comfortable for her to wear around her neck as well.
This is a perfect option for those that are runners and like to take their dogs along with them for a run. Since it’s neoprene you don’t have to worry about getting wet from the sweat and it’s easy to clean. You won’t have to worry about holding a leash or having the nylon rubbing against your skin.
After her visit to the park we went to visit some friends for a cookout. If you’ve ever been to a cookout with a dog leash in your hands it can be hard to juggle a leash, a plate of food and a drink or you have to find some one to hold the leash (if your dog is not able to wander freely). I tethered her leash to my lawn chair while I went to get water and treats for her as well as my self. The velcro strapped stayed in place and I didn’t have to worry about someone hanging on to her leash or juggling her leash in my hand along with various other items that I probably would have spilled all over myself. At one point I even tethered her to my Jeep and it still kept her in place and I didn’t have to worry about the velcro strap giving out and having her take off.
To say I am impressed with this collar and leash combo from Bingin is an understatement – it definitely made our walk and evening at the cookout much more enjoyable. It is also going to be easier for our evening walks – good-bye fanny pack!

I reached out the team at BinginDog and asked if they would like to work together and give one you lucky readers a collar and leash as well so you can join in on the hands-free leash life – it’s time for you to spend more time adventuring with your pup than worrying about having a leash in your hands. Maybe your hands need to be free to give more belly rubs or behind the ear scratches to your furball? Or maybe you just need a collar/leash upgrade? Or maybe you are using one of those horrible retractable leashes that are no good for you or your pup and you just need to get a new leash? Whatever your reason, I want to help you get a set in your hands so that you can get out and enjoy life more with your dog!
