I can’t believe how fast this year has been flying by! January seemed to take forever and now we are in the month of May! Graduation invites are starting to flood mailboxes (or Facebook invites) and vacations are being planned. Summer 2018 is just around the corner and its time to start figuring out how you are going to get the most out of it.
One of my favorite activities to do in Nashville is actually just right outside of the city within a more than reasonable drive to Watertown, TN. This small town of less than 2,000 people has one of the greatest attractions you can’t skip out on: Stardust Drive-In. If you think drive-in’s are a thing of the past, you are wrong! Take a trip to the “good ole days” with your friends, family or significant other out to Watertown and catch a movie or TWO! For $8.50/adult and $6.50/child – Age 5 and younger are FREE! – you can see two movies. Stardust has two screens that show two movies on each screen – there’s just no switching screens between flicks!
They also have a concession stand available with prices that won’t put a huge dent in your wallet, unlike regular movie theaters. You can get a medium soda and popcorn for $5.25! They also offer items like corn dogs, pizza, hamburgers, ruben sandwiches, mini donuts, funnel cakes and more!
If you are a first-timer to Stardust here are a few thing you should plan to expect when visiting:
- Later start times – if it’s too light out you can’t see the movie! Check start times before going!
- If a bigger box office hit is playing, plan to get there early.
- You speaker will be you car radio.
- When you arrive you will choose a screen that you will be viewing and will be handed a menu and trash bag. You will find your own parking spot.
- Restrooms and concessions are available.
If you are looking for some plans this weekend or need a fun summer activity to add in to your life, then be sure that the Stardust Drive-In is on your list.
You can see what’s playing next on their website or on their Facebook.
