3 Family Friendly Halloween Activities in Nashville

Posted on October 19, 2017 by Jennifer

We may be half way through October but there is still plenty of time to have a Halloween themed family day. From haunted hayrides, pumpkin patches and ghost tours to corn mazes and pumpkin carving there is no shortage of activities in Nashville. If you are looking to plan a day out with friends and family then these three activities will be a good start to a great weekend.

Get lost

Lucky Ladd farms is just a short trip about 45 minutes south of Nashville and should be at the top of your list for fall activities. From their pumpkin patch to a petting zoo, zip lines and slides – there really is something for everyone. However, the highlight is their corn maze. Each year they challenge themselves by making a unique design and this year our 2017 Western Conference Champions, the Nashville Predators, are the chosen theme! Grab the kids and head out to Lucky Ladd and get lost in fun and adventure.

GLOW it up

After you have found your way out of the corn maze head north of Nashville about 15 minutes to the GLOW: jack-o-lantern experience and see light displays and pumpkins carved to perfection. You’ll see anything from light up dinosaur displays, Disney princesses, winter wonderlands and your favorite country artists carved in to pumpkins. Who knows you might even be inspired to go home and out-do yourself with a new pumpkin carving adventure.

Nashville Boo

ghouls-hero-imageNow that you have spent a day in fields, navigating your way through pumpkin patches and mazes, take a day off and enjoy just an evening out at the zoo for Boo at the Zoo. Where else can you go see flamingos, go on hayrides and see a haunted barn? Boo at the Zoo is open to all ages however, some of the exhibits may be scary for younger kids.

You can’t go wrong whether you choose to hit up all three events or just one – but do get out and enjoy these as well as other fall/halloween activities that are going on around downtown. Celebrate these holidays and make lasting memories for years to come!
