With Halloween coming up that means there will be a lot of Halloween parties to attend whether its for your kids at school or an office party. This also means you will probably be asked to bring something with you. Let’s be real, not all of us have a lot of time to put in to a great dish. That’s why a quick 30-minute dessert that makes it look like you spent all day making something is just what you need! In comes these great Twinkie mummy pops!
What you’ll need:
- Paper straws or cake pop sticks
- A box of Twinkie’s
- Candy Eyes
- White chocolate melts
- Wax paper
- Cookie sheet
- Pan to melt the white chocolate
Making Mummies:
- Place a sheet of wax paper over the cookie sheet
- Insert straws/cake pop sticks into bottom end of the Twinkies
- Coat the Twinkies in the melted white chocolate and let them dry slightly on a wax paper covered cookie sheet. When the chocolate is semi-dry, take a spoon and drizzle more white chocolate over the Twinkie’s to give it the “wrap-look”.
- Before the white chocolate hardens completely place two eyes on the top end of the Twinkie.
- Place cookie sheet with all of your Twinkie’s in the freezer until they are set.
And that’s it! Now you have a sweet treat to share that looks like you spent a lot of time and effort on them. You can even find cute treat bags to wrap around them with ribbon if you want to give them out or place them on a fun Halloween plate/serving tray.
