This will be the final post in my “Nashville Guide” series and I hope you have learned more about the wonderful city of Nashville and learned some new places to see or to dine at. I also hope that you enjoyed blog posts like this, although, these won’t be my main focus on the blog.
Now that you know where to eat and what to see, it’s time to learn all about shopping in Nashville! And of course there is something for everyone! So let’s shop!
If you love a good bargain…
Then Opry Mills is for you! Opry Mills mall is an outlet mall located by the Grand Ole Opry House. From luxury outlet stores such as Coach, Kate Spade and Michael Kors to more affordable Nike, Old Navy and Bath and Body Works. You can shop for a wide variety of items with a wide variety of budget. For the men who tag along and aren’t big on shopping, don’t worry there are things for you to do as well! While the ladies shop til they drop, you can check out Bass Pro Shops, take in a move or get a drink and play games at Dave & Buster’s! There are a few shops that offer souvenirs as well if you are looking to get all your shopping done in one place. Opry Mills is a one-stop shop, when it comes to shopping and with the Grand Ole Opry next door you can pick up even more souvenirs!
Bringing Memories Home
If shopping at “stores you have at home”, and only wanting to pick up a few random items and souvenirs for your friends, family and co-workers back home then visiting all the toursity-style shops on lower Broadway is going to be your best bet. If you collect spoons, post-cards, magnets, keychains or other little treasures this will be the best place to find those items to add to your collection.
This will also be the best place for you to find great deals on cowboy boots!
“Luxury is in the detail.”
If you are looking for a more “luxurious” shopping style, the Mall at Green Hills will be more your speed and will also feature less tourists. However, there will be A LOT of traffic in this area to get to and from the mall. You would be more likely to run in to Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren, who have spent some time people watching at this mall, than you would anywhere else. Stores you are likely to see here are MAC, Macy’s, Nordstrom, LUSH, Apple, Free People, Lilly Pulitzer, Kate Spade, David Yurman, Pandor, Tiffany & Co. and Louis Vuitton.
Hidden Gems
If malls and downtown tourist shops aren’t your style then shop the boutiques in 12 South and the Edgehill areas and you will fall in love with these hidden gems. Both areas offer great coffee shops like Frothy Monkey in 12 South and Edgehill Cafe in the Edgehill area. If you choose to shop the 12 South area then you must stop by Reese Witherspoon’s, Draper James. This store is southern charm at it’s finest. If you choose to go to the Edgehill area, then Castilleja will be one of your new favorites.
I really hope you enjoyed learning about new places to eat, visit and now shop in the Music City as much as I did re-discovering and sharing some of my favorite places with you!
